Last updated: 6 October 2026
Applies to FinPal version 1.0.2

FinPal is a free, on-device money tracker. Use it responsibly, keep your own backups, and treat charts and summaries as helpers — not professional advice.

1. Agreement

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the FinPal mobile application (“FinPal” or “the app”), provided by Shubham Patel (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

By downloading, installing, or using FinPal, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. What FinPal is

FinPal v1.0.2 is a personal finance tool that lets you:

FinPal is for personal, non-commercial use. It does not connect to your bank, create an online account, or sync your data to our servers in version 1.0.2.

FinPal is distributed through Google Play and as a direct download from our GitHub releases page. When you install through a store or platform, that provider’s own terms also apply to the download, and we are not responsible for how the provider operates. We do not support builds obtained from anywhere else.

3. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age where you live) to use FinPal. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

You own and control the financial records you enter. You are responsible for decisions you make based on what the app shows.

5. Not financial advice

FinPal is an organising and informational tool only. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

Charts, balances, and summaries are based on what you entered. They can be wrong if your entries are incomplete or outdated. For important money decisions, consult a qualified professional. We are not responsible for losses from relying on information shown in the app.

6. Data and privacy

How FinPal handles information is described in our Privacy Policy. In v1.0.2, your profile, transactions, and selected photos stay on your device.

Clearing app data or uninstalling FinPal can permanently delete those local records. We are not responsible for data loss from device failure, accidental deletion, or missing backups.

7. Intellectual property

FinPal’s design, branding, code, and content (other than the data you enter) belong to us or our licensors and are protected by applicable law.

You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the app under these Terms. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from the app without our written permission, except where applicable law allows.

8. “As is” disclaimer

FinPal is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

We do not promise that the app will always be available, error-free, or free of defects.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of FinPal.

Our total liability for any claim related to these Terms or the app will not exceed the amount you paid to use FinPal in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or zero if the app was provided free of charge.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Stopping use

You can stop using FinPal at any time by uninstalling it. We may update, suspend, or discontinue the app, or revise these Terms, at our discretion. Provisions that should survive (including disclaimers and liability limits) continue after you stop using the app.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when FinPal changes. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms, except where local law requires a different process. This page describes FinPal v1.0.2.

12. Governing law and severability

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are subject to the courts in India, unless consumer protection laws where you live require otherwise.

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, that part is limited or removed to the smallest extent necessary and the rest stays in force. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about FinPal. If we do not enforce a provision, we have not waived it.
