FinPal is a personal finance app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app stores on your device, how it is used, and what we do not collect.
In short: your data stays on your phone. FinPal v1.0.2 does not create accounts, sync to the cloud, connect to your bank, or sell your information.
We collect nothing. FinPal v1.0.2 does not collect, transmit, or
share any personal data. The released Android app is not granted the
INTERNET permission, so it has no technical ability to send your
records anywhere. Everything described below is stored only on your own device.
FinPal is developed by Shubham Patel (“we”, “us”, or “our”). The app helps you track income and expenses, organise transactions, and view spending summaries on your own device.

Everything you enter stays on your device. FinPal v1.0.2 has no backend account system and does not upload your records to our servers.
On your device, FinPal may store:
FinPal does not ask for a password, email login, bank credentials, or permission to access your bank accounts.
When you choose to set a profile picture or attach a receipt, FinPal opens the system camera or photo picker. Those system screens handle access; FinPal only receives the single image you select or take. Nothing else in your gallery is read.
When you pick an image, FinPal copies it into the app’s private storage on your device so the file is not lost if the system clears temporary cache. That copy is not uploaded. It stays on your phone and is removed when you delete the profile picture, delete the related transaction, clear the app’s data, or uninstall FinPal.
FinPal does not scan, index, or read other photos on your device. It does not keep ongoing access to your gallery beyond what you select.
The released Android app declares no camera or photo/video storage permissions. Image attachment relies on the system camera and photo picker only.
FinPal does not request location, contacts, SMS, call logs, notification
access, or the INTERNET permission.
Your data is used only to run FinPal on your device, including to:
We do not use your financial records for advertising, profiling across other apps, or selling lists.
FinPal stores information locally on your phone. If you clear the app’s data or uninstall FinPal, that local information is removed from the device.
Because data stays on your phone, you control it. Protect your device with a lock screen and keep the system up to date. There is no cloud backup in FinPal v1.0.2. If you lose the device or clear the data without your own backup, the records are gone.
In FinPal v1.0.2, we do not share your profile or transaction data with third-party services. This version does not include cloud sync, analysis SDKs, crash reporters, or advertising networks that collect your FinPal records.
We do not sell your personal information. We would only disclose information if required by law, but in v1.0.2 we hold no copy of your FinPal records, so there is nothing for us to hand over.
Opening the Privacy Policy, Terms, or support links hands the address to your browser or email app, which then loads it. FinPal itself makes no network request. Those apps have their own privacy practices.

FinPal is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that concerns you, contact us and we can help you remove local data.
If FinPal’s data practices change in a later version (for example, optional cloud sync or other networked features), we will update this Privacy Policy and the “Last updated” date. This page describes FinPal v1.0.2.
